Grand Granola

As promised, here is the recipe for the world's easiest and most delicious granola. I make this at least once a week, sometimes twice (because some snackers sneak handful...ahem Mama Bell)



Granola

1 c whole wheat flour
2 c oats
1 T baking powder
1/4 t salt
1 T cinnamon
3 T canola oil
1 egg
1/3-1/2 c dried fruit (raisins, craisins, dates, etc)
1/3 c slivered almonds
1 scoop protein powder (optional)
2 T flax seed- ground or whole (optional)

Mix all ingredients together; add fruit and nuts last.

Bake at 325 F for about 20 minutes.

I cook my granola on a demarle silpat...Non-stick, easy clean up. Virtually no mess! However, lining a baking sheet with foil and some light olive oil will work just as well.

It's addicting, don't say I didn't warn you :)
